2016 Kenya Update

The 2016 year was full of blessings from the Lord. Myself and several others were able to take a trip to Kenya to see all that the Lord is doing through New Hope Church and School in Mombasa, Kenya. The construction of the new building is nearly finished. This building has allowed the school to add 10 new classrooms, 3 offices and a large meeting hall. The school now has over 700 students. This new building has been a huge blessing, as it is primarily being used on Sundays to hold church services for people that live in the community around the school. Around 150 people meet every Sunday to hear preaching of the Gospel.

During our trip in June of 2016, several American preachers helped hold a revival at the school. The Lord greatly blessed our services and we heard of 12 testimonies of Salvation. Many were added to the church, through baptism. It was humbling to see lost sinners kneel on the dirt floor and unashamedly cry out to the Lord and plead for Salvation.

We are prayerfully considering what the next steps are in the planning for an orphanage at New Hope School. I am still rejoicing from a very large donation that was given to help with the start of the orphanage. Some money is set aside for the start of construction, but we are waiting on the Lord's timing. Please be praying for the Lord's help and guidance as we seek His will in what to do next.
